While platforms like Kickstarter have become an accepted way for people to fund a wide range of projects, whether or not crowdfunding can be a successful way to invest in real estate is yet to be seen.

While Wanda is aggressively expanding its footprint abroad, including two multi-billion dollar projects in Australia, it’s also transforming itself from a ‘heavy-asset’ company into a ‘light-asset’ company. Or to put it another way, Wanda is making the transition from being a property developer to an asset management company.

Real estate business Landmark Harcourts is targeting Chinese buyers for 10 agricultural properties at special functions in China. The combined properties from all states are worth about $50 million, and feature grain, legume and broadacre grazing farms.
