McGrath Estate Agents have signalled its further focus on the Brisbane market with a new office opening today in Coorparoo. This is as an extension to the McGrath Bulimba office, now operated by leading Queensland agent Tony O’Doherty and his business partner Jon Iceton.
Since joining McGrath in November 2024 they have hit the ground running, and have recruited top sales professional Amanda Becke and her team to join them in this important expansion.
Chris Mourd, Head of Franchise for McGrath, said: “Amanda’s long-standing success in the Coorparoo community made it an easy decision to accelerate the opening of a second office for Tony and Jon. We are delighted they have joined forces to expand their presence in Coorparoo. The short 5 km run to the Brisbane CBD coupled with its mix of heritage Queenslanders and post war homes has ensured Coorparoo has continued to attract families and professionals to its leafy streets.
“We are certain that Amanda’s exemplary track record combined with McGrath’s leading marketing platform will provide great value to the residents of Coorparoo, Greenslopes, Camp Hill and Holland Park.”
McGrath Coorparoo Principal, Jon Iceton, concurs: “The opportunity for Tony and myself to collaborate with Amanda to spearhead our expansion is an exciting time for the growth of our business. Importantly, Amanda has the same service levels and standards that we adhere to for our clients and enhance their opportunities to buy and sell property.”
Amanda Becke explains, “I’m excited by this new opportunity to work alongside one of the best agents in Queensland – Tony O’Doherty. So when I was approached to join the McGrath brand along with my team of three, I was so impressed by the professionalism at all levels of the company.”
Having lived and worked in Coorparoo for over 20 years, Amanda has witnessed many changes in the diversity of the properties now available.
“Coorparoo’s property market has evolved beautifully over the years, blending timeless charm with contemporary luxury. I’ve seen firsthand how this vibrant suburb embraces both tradition and innovation in its homes. From classic Queenslanders to cutting-edge architectural designs, there’s a style to suit every lifestyle. Coorparoo is such a diverse suburb: from the character-rich Queenslanders to elegant Hamptons designs and the fresh, modern appeal of Palm Springs with architecturally designed homes. In 2025 Coorparoo’s property market is more exciting than ever. Whether you're drawn to timeless charm or cutting-edge style, there’s a home here for every taste.
“Equally its lovely lifestyle offering with a vibrant café culture and tree-lined streets is within easy access to north and southbound motorways, making it very convenient for commuters.”
