In an industry first, The Agency has partnered with Australia’s largest specialised family law firm, Australian Family Lawyers (AFL), to provide training and family law legal services to agents and clients.
The Agency is the first real estate company in Australia to partner with Australian Family Lawyers, one of the largest and fastest growing family law practices in the country, and industry leading experts in Australian family law. AFL offers multi-jurisdictional expertise, with offices across the country to give access to specialist knowledge and resources in many jurisdictions including Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Gold Coast and Perth. It’s a natural fit for the companies which each have national reach, facilitating two-way client referrals for both The Agency and AFL as appropriate.
The partnership will provide The Agency staff, their families and clients the education and tools needed to navigate emotionally challenging circumstances, and help guide clients through delicate family matters with an empathetic approach.
AFL will undertake training for The Agency staff, including access to seminars and education on all aspects of family and relationship legal advice.
Executive Chairman of Australian Family Lawyers Grant Dearlove views the partnership as a natural alignment of two services that support clients through what can be a challenging period of their life.
“Property and real estate is a key consideration for people going through a separation and relationship pressures. Over half the people who contact Australian Family Lawyers are also actively looking for real estate services online, highlighting the importance of this partnership in assisting people in their property needs,” he said.
Andrew Jensen, The Agency Chief Operating Officer, says the partnership will assist clients in finding a more stable future for their families and provide seamless service in their property needs.
“Real estate agents become privy to some of the most sensitive and often turbulent circumstances when assisting with the sale of the family home,” Mr Jensen said.
“A stressful experience at the best of times deteriorates by the unfortunate breakdown of a relationship leading to a settlement of assets,” he said.
