McGrath Estate Agents has reached a milestone with the opening of its office in Toukley on the New South Wales Central Coast.

McGrath Founder and Executive Director John McGrath said, “The opening of our one-hundredth office is an exciting and important milestone for McGrath.

McGrath opened its first office in Paddington 29 years ago, and has recently expanded its footprint into Victoria, and Queensland, and regional areas of NSW.

“We opened our first office in Paddington, Sydney, 29 years ago," said McGrath. 

"Over that time, we have strategically grown our footprint throughout the East Coast of Australia, targeting both emerging property and premium lifestyle markets," he said.

The principals of the new office - top-ranking agents Jaimie Woodcock and Mat Steinwede - were also McGrath's first franchise partners, when they opened an office in Terrigal, on the NSW Central Coast, in 2005. The Terrigal office was McGrath's first regional office

"I am delighted that we can share this pinnacle with both Jaimie and Mat as they have played such an important role in the business over the years,” said McGrath.

Woodcock said, "Toukley is a natural extension from our existing office locations and an area experiencing strong and sustained growth."

Toukley is located at the northern end of the Central Coast, and is an affordable lifestyle destination. Prices in the beachside suburb have grown by 9.5 per cent over the past 12 months to $460,000, according to CoreLogic data.

Woodcock said, “The northern Central Coast is gaining in popularity as more buyers recognise the value and lifestyle on offer.

"In Toukley and its surrounds, it is still possible to purchase a freestanding house with a backyard for less than $500,000."

“With significant investment in infrastructure and services in recent years, I believe demand in the region will continue to strengthen with price growth to follow,” he said.

Woodcock also noted that new land releases in the region are providing additional opportunities for first home buyers and investors.

"New land releases and developments in the local area are creating a new market and standard of living which will appeal to city buyers making a lifestyle change," said Woodcock.
