Rebecca Halton, Chief Executive Officer of LJ Hooker City Residential said they had been searching for the right opportunity to further grow their brand across the busy Perth market. LJ Hooker General Manager of Network Australia, Stephen Mutton congratulated Ms Halton and director Frank Newton on expanding their business with the purchase of an established agency.
An exciting acquisition is set to see LJ Hooker City Residential expand its business into Perth’s inner-northern suburbs after purchasing an established agency within the region.
The agency has acquired The Professionals Kelly Team in Yokine, which has been servicing the local community for more than 30 years.
Rebecca Halton, Chief Executive Officer of LJ Hooker City Residential said they had been searching for the right opportunity to further grow their brand across the busy Perth market. The purchase will also add to their property management division, which already manages more than $3 billion worth of real estate.
“The timing was perfect for us as we were ready to buy another business and this is located in what we had identified as a key growth area,” Ms Halton said.
“Perth’s inner-northern suburbs are within easy reach of the city centre and popular with families and professionals as well as having investor appeal. We are delighted to take the LJ Hooker brand to Yokine and its surrounding suburbs and provide the next level of service to customers.”
LJ Hooker General Manager of Network Australia, Stephen Mutton congratulated Ms Halton and director Frank Newton on expanding their business with the purchase of an established agency.
It follows last month’s opening of LJ Hooker South West in Busselton and the opening of LJ Hooker Port Hedland after a 26-year absence of the brand in the popular Pilbara township.
“We are supporting and encouraging our offices to grow and look for new opportunities, and this will strengthen our brand presence in the Perth market,” Mr Mutton said.
“I’m always impressed by the devotion and passion of our LJ Hooker network in Western Australia. They invest heavily into their business and by doing a lot of acquisition of rent rolls they are doing well financially through strategic planning.
“It is also important for our network to have strong ties between the east and the western states as we continue to see the migration of people across the two sides of the country.”
The Yokine region offers a mix of affordable and high-end properties. The median house price is $750,000 and the median apartment price is $380,000 making it also popular with investors.
The previous Professionals agency has been rebranded to LJ Hooker City Residential and will act as a satellite office to their main headquarters in East Perth.
Many of the employees are remaining in the business and are excited to be joining the LJ Hooker network.
“It is a big change after more than three decades, but this will be a new chapter for the team and also for us,” Ms Halton said.
“We will bring in new leadership, technology and energy, so it will be an exciting change for the business and also for the local area.”
