In Denver, Colorado, the home of the RE/MAX World Headquarters, Mayor Michael B. Hancock has proclaimed January 30, 2023 “RE/MAX, LLC 50th Anniversary Day” in honor of the brand reaching its impressive 50-year milestone in business. 

RE/MAX was founded in Denver on January 30 in 1973 and has changed the course of real estate on a global scale ever since.

Excerpts from the official proclamation scroll include:

• RE/MAX was founded in Denver 50 years ago, on January 30, 1973, and has maintained its headquarters here while becoming a world-renowned brand name and one of the largest global real estate networks in history; and
• RE/MAX Co-Founders Dave and Gail Liniger, who are still active as RE/MAX Holdings Board leaders and major shareholders, built Denver values into the RE/MAX culture and have remained active, respected pillars of the Denver community; and
• The RE/MAX network has grown to nearly 9,000 independently owned and operated offices with over 140,000 real estate professionals in more than 110 countries and territories around the world; and
• RE/MAX agents are known for being professional, productive, experienced, community-minded and passionate about delivering the very best service to their real estate buyers and sellers; and
• RE/MAX agents around the world have followed the Linigers’ lead and made an incredible difference in their communities through volunteering, sponsoring events, supporting schools, funding scholarships, organizing food drives and more; and

RE/MAX has been a proud partner of Children’s Miracle Network Hospital since 1992, with agents and offices impacting children by generously supporting the 170 affiliate hospitals across the U.S. and Canada, including Children’s Hospital Colorado.

The 2023 RE/MAX R4 – the brand’s annual event for networking, learning, and more – is taking place February 27-March 1 at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada and will be a networkwide celebration of 50 years of RE/MAX. With attendees joining from more than 61 countries, the event is set to be bigger than ever before.

The RE/MAX brand has made headlines over the years for countless awards, initiatives and charitable endeavors. But earning its very own holiday is a first.
