Why real estate?
I was searching for a career, one I loved, one where I was my own boss.
What was the most important advice you were given early in your career?
You are not selling houses, you are building relationships. This takes time, so earn your stripes, get people to trust you and love working with you.

It's the strongest market I've seen in 25 years, with increasingly low amounts of properties for sale and still so many people moving from southern states and overseas, so we can see the QLD market still moving.
Have you noticed any changes in buyers and sellers over last two years?
I've never seen so many Buyers Agents, helping incredibly motivated people find their homes, with Auction clearance rates hitting 100%. Buyers are ready to move fast with cash.

Sellers obviously want the best possible price with an agent they trust. I see my role as exactly that, to create a campaign that attracts the most buyers possible to ensure we get the best possible price.
What are buyers saying and what advice do you give them?
Buyers are keen to find the perfect home and are happy to meet the market. No longer are we having conversations regarding anyone desperate to sell. It’s more ‘is there anything off market, we are really keen to buy’ and so on.

Don't be impatient. You might miss out on a couple of deals along the way, but if you do the right thing and look after people, they will come back to you.

To earn respect amongst your clients, so much so that they refer their family and friends to you.
