Joel Davoren, Managing Director of RE/MAX Australia, jumped at the opportunity to visit broker owners and teams in Western Australia once borders were opened.
The Brisbane-based Mr Davoren spent last week in the state dropping in on the network’s real estate offices with Perth based Business Growth Manager, Simon Withers.
While the RE/MAX teams in WA had held an awards event on 24th February to coincide with the RE/MAX Australia event they couldn’t get to, which was presided over by Mr Withers at the Melbourne Hotel, Mr Davoren was delighted to visit the offices and present awards himself.
“My last trip to Perth was around 18 months ago, said Mr Davoren. “It was good to meet with our WA members and congratulate them in person for all the effort they’ve put in over the past couple of years.”
Award winning offices were RE/MAX Extreme in Currambine, which won #3 Individual office – transactions; #4 Individual office – commissions; and its property management business received Titan Club status. RE/MAX Southern Stars, Cannington, was awarded Platinum Club status for its property management business.
Individual WA award winners were Leoni Strydon, RE/MAX Extreme; Alex Mitchell and Tom Cleary, RE/MAX Southern Stars; and Cheng Liu, RE/MAX GBT Realty earing a place in the RE/MAX International Hall of Fame, recognising $1million USD in commission earned.
Announced each February, RE/MAX Australia Club Awards recognise the preparation, effort, performance and commitment essential to real estate success. Initially six tiers, the Double Diamond level was introduced last year, and this year the Triple Diamond.
Club status announced for WA agents: Diamond – Demo Foufas and Paul Wiltshire, RE/MAX Extreme; Titan – Cheng Liu, RE/MAX GBT and Brett White, RE/MAX Extreme; Chairman – Dave Martin, RE/MAX Extreme and Tom Miszczak, RE/MAX Southern Stars; Platinum – Alex Mitchell and Tom Cleary RE/MAX Southern Stars; Gold – Leoni Strydom and Shaun Hayes, RE/MAX Extreme; and 100% - Ken Williamson, RE/MAX GBT.
Club awards were introduced into property management this year.
“2021 was a milestone year for many reasons,” said Mr Davoren, “and possibly one of the most extraordinary years we will ever see.
“The start of this year has continued to yield amazing results and to cap it all off, RE/MAX Australia won RE/MAX Region of the Year - Asia Pacific in the RE/MAX Global 2021 awards and special congratulations to the Phillip Wiltshire Team, from RE/MAX Extreme, which was named the #3 GLOBAL Residential Team, Transactions (small team category).
The global real estate brand with over 140,000 agents in more than 110 countries and territories is a forward-looking, tech-savvy network built on a time-tested foundation of productivity and service. It was announced this month to be the first (network) in the history of real estate to close two million transaction sides in a year.
“It was important to me to share all these achievements and more, with our WA network,” said Mr Davoren, and my flights were booked as soon as we had confirmation about the lifted restrictions.”
