The Agency is pleased to welcome highly respected industry figure Garry Price to the rapidly growing Queensland team, alongside his son David Price, The Agency’s General Manager of Queensland. 

Garry’s in-depth understanding of the trends and growth within the property industry have seen him handle sales for high profile clients and transact over $1 billion in deals. Garry is recognised as Brisbane’s most respected and experienced agents and is sought out by high-performing agents for his training and coaching. 

As Director of his own real estate business in East Brisbane, Garry grew the office to a significant business with a strong property management portfolio. He brings across his property management team to The Agency, led by Julia Kabakoff. Garry has been awarded the prestigious Elite Performer award multiple times by the Ray White network, among a host of other honours for his achievements in the last two decades. 

Garry says he has been a father-son team with David in some capacity for over 30 years, having owned and run several successful businesses prior to joining real estate. He recalls his start in the industry, having joined real estate after owning several hairdressing salons, and is quick to admit it is his son who first showed him the ropes in real estate.

“David taught me everything I know. We are very similar, he is a people person just like me and we both have great communication skills,” Garry said. 

“When I first started in real estate, David said to me, ‘Dad, you’re still acting like you’re still in a hairdressing salon. You’re talking to people rather than listening to them.’

“After that, I learned to sit down and listen to the clients and their needs. I work and build their trust so I can give them the best quality service and results.”

Garry says he is driven by his dedication and service to his clients. He stands by the idea that experience, patience and empathy are essential factors to a long standing and successful property career. 

“Building a team and employing the best people is the key to giving the best quality service to your clients,” Garry explained. 

David Price is thrilled his father Garry took the step to join him at The Agency.

“Garry is very committed to getting the best possible results for everybody he deals with. He loves working with people and he has loved the industry for over 20 years,” David said.

“Dad and I started working together when I was 19 and to be working together again after 30 years is really exciting for me. Garry and I are very close, he is a great dad and grandfather to my kids. He is a wonderful man,” David said. 

The Agency CEO Matt Lahood is honoured Garry chose to take the next step in his career with The Agency.
