Greg McRae is the Principal and Key Sales Consultant of McRae Real Estate, specialising in residential homes and acreage properties.
A Sunshine Coast local for over 21 years, Greg spent 30 years as a licensed builder, including 7 years as a Carpentry Teacher at TAFE, before moving into real estate.
Now in Real Estate for 7 years, Greg established McRae Real Estate in 2014, and has chosen REAL Specialists to power the backend of his business.
WILLIAMS MEDIA spoke to Greg McRae about the real estate market on the Sunshine Coast.
What is the one thing you have learnt over your years as an agent?
As a builder for so many years, I have an in-depth knowledge of the product I’m selling.
What do you love most about the REAL model?
Real Specialists have a great support team for agents like myself, so that we can get on with the job of listing and selling property.
The REAL model allows me to use my own business name so my clients can identify me and the business very easily.

What are your predictions about the 2021 market in your area?
The expectations I had have been overwhelmed by the outstanding sales results that are happening on the Sunshine Coast. Properties are selling even before they get online and are being sold ‘sight unseen’ in a lot of cases, for exceptional prices.
What advice would you give to your vendors for the best outcome?
List now while demand is hot. Make sure to do a video or 3D virtual tour of the property to show online - this allows interstate buyers to have a good look. I also personally use a Multi Offer system or Online Auction to gain the best price for my clients.
