'The Strand' in Manly and Wahroonga's 'Redleaf' and ‘Maltoende’ estates were sold by Darren Curtis of Ken Jacobs Christie’s International, who is seeing a "very encouraging" level of enquiry.
In just four weeks Darren Curtis of Ken Jacobs Christie’s International has sold 3 properties over $7m in Sydney’s north, including 'The Strand', a grand c1912 terrace home directly in front of Manly Cove beach, and Wahroonga’s historic 'Redleaf' estate.

Darren told WILLIAMS MEDIA the easing of COVID-19 restrictions played little role, as Christie’s mainly conducts inspections by appointment only, selling via Expressions of Interest or Private Treaty. In these sales all inspections were held in person with a handful of qualified appointments.
The amount of interest was strong, mainly due to location, Darren told WILLIAMS MEDIA. “The home is very close to the water and a short walk to the Corso, just fabulous. 32 Grosvenor Street is very close to Wahroonga Village and full of facility, tennis court, pool, stunning. Both were good, solid results with which our clients were very happy.”
“Being fortunate to cover all suburbs in Sydney, I can safely say my enquiry level has been very encouraging,” Darren told WILLIAMS MEDIA.
“This enquiry is coming from domestic and overseas buyers in equal quantity. Many Australians are looking to make a move home from the US and have been taking advantage of the weaker AUD. I am finding this is particularly true of those who have children of school age. Each of the 3 sales I transacted in the last 4 weeks were bought by Australians.”
