John McGrath is confident Sydney's North Shore property market will remain resilient this year, as his agency launches two new offices on the Lower North Shore.
“Whilst the real estate market in many areas has pulled back dramatically, good properties in blue ribbon locations are performing exceptionally well and the Lower North Shore has been of the most sought-after and desirable markets in Sydney in the last few years," he said.
“We’ve had the pleasure of servicing the Lower North Shore of Sydney for over 23 years - it is the first region chosen when we expanded out of the eastern suburbs all those years ago, and we’re delighted again to be opening our new office there."
McGrath's confidence in the area has seen the agency launch two new offices in Neutral Bay and Mosman this week — one of Sydney’s few booming areas.
Mr McGrath said there are plans to expand to Chatswood further down the track.

McGrath CEO Geoff Lucas, a Cremorne resident, told WILLIAMS MEDIA the company knows the area well and is committed to growing its presence in the important and lucrative Lower North Shore market of Sydney.
This follows McGrath severing ties with the previous franchise group operating in Neutral Bay/Mosman and Chatswood/Northbridge.
“McGrath opened on Sydney’s Lower North Shore in 1996 and as such have developed a strong affiliation with the area. So naturally, we are excited to be in a position to offer our services to clients for both residential sales and property management under our well capitalised new office structure," Mr Lucas said.
“We believe our current recruitment program will give us the firepower to consolidate our presence in the area as we earmark other new office locations for the region. We want to ensure that both vendors and buyers have the most cohesive, professional advice available to them when transacting property and that landlords and tenants are equally looked after with advanced technology to enhance their customer experience.
“We have recently made a significant investment in world-class systems in technology and data intelligence such as Qualtrics and Domo respectively. This provides us with real-time customer information that will modernise the property management experience for our customers, staff and our suppliers,” Mr Lucas added.
Kon Stathopoulos, Head of Sales for McGrath’s company-owned offices, said six agents will initially form the cornerstone of the group's lower north shore expansion.
“We’re delighted to welcome some previous McGrath agents to our exciting new venture and we will continue to recruit other agents to enhance our presence and ability to service this large and diverse area.”
The six agents transitioning to the new McGrath Neutral Bay and Mosman offices are Local Area Specialists:
Mr Lucas confirmed this renewed vigour of expanding McGrath’s offering across Sydney’s Lower North Shore would supplement a strong presence in key northside markets already serviced.
“Our two existing offices in Crows Nest and Lane Cove continue to deliver strong and impressive results for our clients, with both regions dominated by our top performing agents Peter Chauncy and Brent Courtney respectively. We believe areas such as Crows Nest, Cammeray, Lane Cove, Chatswood and Greenwich will continue to be popular precincts and provide excellent buying opportunities over the next few years.”
The company has plans to open a custom-designed office for McGrath in Mosman and has identified another potential location for McGrath Neutral Bay.
