The former Sydney headquarters of crystal manufacturer Swarovski is underdoing a luxury residential conversion.
Rosebery has been transformed in recent years, and many of its historic commercial warehouses are being converted into apartments.
The latest is Verde, in a warehouse that was formerly the headquarters of high-quality-crystal jewellery manufacturer, Swarovski. Architects Environa Studio have combined heritage conservation with modern-day livability.
The developer, LIVstyle, specialises in adaptive re-use, boutique residences. The site will include almost 500sqm of communal gardens, and barbecue facilities, and outdoor seating.
Spread over four buildings, Verde will have a mix of 41 residences, including warehouse apartments with high ceilings and exposed brickwork, maisonettes, and terraces.
All residences will have a unique floorplan, and either a private courtyard or rooftop terrace. Only seven two-bedroom terraces remain for sale, and begin at $1.1 million.
The residences will have luxurious finishes, including oak floors, gourmet kitchens with Smeg appliances, Caesarstone benchtops, bronzed mirror splashbacks, and herringbone-patterned tiled bathrooms.
Rosebery is only 6 km from the CBD, and is close to transport, schools, universities, and many large employers.
Construction will begin in September, and will be complete in 2016.
