John McGrath expects strongth growth in regional, "semi-rural" areas of NSW.
McGrath has opened a new office in the regional town of Mudgee, its first office in the NSW Central Tablelands.
John McGrath, founder and executive director of McGrath, said the company is continuing its expansion into new regions, and expects semi-regional areas to provide strong growth.
“We are excited to be expanding into this new market as we see opportunities for growth in this semi-rural area," he said.
Mudgee is only three hours north-west of Sydney, and lies in the foothills of the Cudgegong River Valley. The region is known for its wineries, heritage architecture, and beautiful country landscape, and is popular among tree-changers.
The office - McGrath Central Tablelands - will be led by principals Denis and Helen Woods, and sales manager Adam Woods, who will oversee a team of six sales agents.
The team is already well-established in the area.
“Denis, Helen, Adam and their team are market leaders in Mudgee," he said.
The Woods have been in real estate for more than 30 years. For 21 years they led Richardson & Wrench Mudgee, and for the past eight years they have been with The Professionals.
Adam said, “By partnering with McGrath, I believe we can take our business to even greater heights locally, providing a sophisticated service to both buyers and sellers. While the Mudgee region will be our immediate focus, there is an opportunity to seamlessly expand to other nearby locales in the future.”
Mudgee has seen solid price growth in the last five years. House values have risen by 15.4 per cent to $378,000.
“Mudgee and its surrounds are becoming increasingly sought after as buyers recognise the value and lifestyle on offer. Mudgee has long been popular with downsizers however we are now seeing more young families moving to the area, attracted to the selection of quality schools, parks and green spaces and strong sense of community,” said Adam.
