After just six years working in real estate, Amanda Blair has taken over ownership of Ray White Marshlands.
Previously Ray White Full Circle, Ms Blair has been passed the baton from Julie Robb who previously owned the business.
Ms Blair has always known what she wanted and chased her dreams from a young age. After leaving school in fifth form, she began working as a hairdresser at age 16, and was a mother of three by 23.
By balancing being a mother and pursuing her career, Ms Blair felt she developed the skills necessary to be a successful real estate agent and business owner.
“Property was always an interest and a dream for as long as I could remember,” Ms Blair said.
“I got the opportunity six years ago with Ray White Full Circle. It was a time when I needed to take a risk and follow my dream, and I’ve never looked back.”
Just months into her new role, Ms Blair knew she wanted to be a business owner.
“I was falling more deeply in love with the new career choice and I asked Julie if she were ever to sell, please consider me,” she said.
“It was a goal I always wanted but never expected so soon! Last year over coffee the opportunity was offered to me.
“My incredible partner Cam believed in me and was supportive and by my side the entire process. Julie grew an excellent business ready for me to take to the next level.
“Julie is still by my side as the first signed salesperson. I also have the backing of our extremely experienced brand manager Lucia. Easy decision!
“It was an instant yes and the rest is history.”
The team at Ray White Marshlands is currently only in sales, with Ms Blair calling them her “rock”.
“Some members of the team I have worked with from my first day and they have inspired me to get where I am today,” she said.
“Others are newbies who inspire me to be the mentor and rock that the rest of the team were to me.
“The Ray White Marshland team is my other family and I love, respect, and believe in every one of them!
“The team has a diverse set of skills, and we work well together and lean on one another.
“Trust and transparency are a huge part of what sets us apart.”
In the next 12 months, the team will be a huge focus for Ms Blair.
“I want to build the team culture, grow them, drive them, inspire them, and build success in our business,” she said.
“Together we can do so much more, alone we are limited.”
Ray White New Zealand chief agency officer Treena Drinnan welcomed Ms Blair as a business owner.
“Amanda was a successful sales person under Julie Robb, and is both ambitious and driven. Business ownership is a natural next step in her career,” Ms Drinnan said.
“I look forward to seeing Ray White Marshlands continue to grow under Amanda’s leadership, and am excited to witness her achievements into the future.”
