Chief Executive Officer of McGrath Estate Agents John McGrath has announced that leading agent, Benjamin Mulae, has joined McGrath Hunters Hill as Partner
Mr Mulae, who specializes in the Gladesville, Putney and Tennyson Point area, will partner alongside top-performing agents, Tracey Dixon and John Paranchi.
John McGrath sees the partnership of Benjamin Mulae, Tracey Dixon and John Paranchi as a win for the area. “Our Hunters Hill office holds a track record as a consistent leader in that region,” said Mr McGrath. “Having Ben join as partner alongside Tracey and John will allow the team to expand their service and offer their expertise further afield.”
Mr Mulae entered the real estate industry straight from school more than 25 years ago. His first role was as office allrounder. “I immediately took to real estate and moved quickly into property management and then sales,” he recalls. “I remember the day I sold my first property – I was just 19 years old. I was elated! I knew where I belonged.” Within five years Mr Mulae had risen to a full-equity partner.
Since then, Mr Mulae has run his own boutique business specializing in working with high net-worth individuals, facilitated site amalgamations, acquisitions, joint ventures and partnerships. He has won Residential Agent of the Year (NSW) for the Real Estate Institute of Australia two years running.
“I’ve seen the gentrification and development of my specialty suburbs,” he said. “They are wellrecognized and sought-after areas now.” He sees the trend of families investing in the area to continue alongside buyers from surrounding suburbs looking to upsize in the next step of their property journey.
Mr Mulae understands the nuances of the suburbs surrounding Hunters Hill. “There are subtle submarkets within the region,” he said. “That’s the sort of knowledge I’m able to share with my clients.” He reports that buyers love the centrality of Hunters Hill. “If you look on a map of Sydney, you’ll notice how central this area is to everything. Some neighbourhoods offer buyers a waterfront lifestyle while still being a quick commute from the city,” he added.
Mr Mulae notes Hunters Hill has always held the highest median house price in the region but he cites a strong rise in value from its bridesmaid suburbs. “We’ve seen a 24 per cent rise in value in Hunters Hill homes over the past year and an even more bullish growth in value of Putney property with a 27 per cent increase in the house median,” said Mr Mulae.
“Although the market has experienced some softening in the past few weeks, I expect the long-term trend to continue to show strong gains in these areas as they offer fundamentally good value with increasing popularity and buyer awareness," he added.
Mr Mulae has brought his longstanding, experienced and successful team of Trisha Guo and Martika Whitfield to McGrath Hunters Hill. “With the consolidation of our teams, coupled with the McGrath network and branding, we’re offering a best-in-class real estate service.”
