What are your predictions for the 2020 market in your area?

Prices are growing in the area and will continue to do so. With a $590 million hospital under construction and the Tweed Coast being one of the most desirable places to live in Australia, the demand is far outstripping the limited supply of available stock. Low interest rates, a relaxed lifestyle, abundant nature, connectivity and most recently with COVID, the freedom afforded will continue to foster solid growth far into the future.

What advice you would give to vendors for the best outcome?

Go to market. It is one thing to sell your property covertly by showing the home to a couple of groups off market, however, in a situation of high demand and low supply, there is a real opportunity to foster competition amongst buyers.

What advice do you give buyers?

If you see a parcel of real estate you like, make an offer and commitment to purchase. The longer you wait the more expensive it is to purchase.

What are vendors saying? 

It is a seller's market. Seller confidence is high and buyers must meet expectations or miss out. 

What are buyers saying?  

They are struggling with the lack of choice and speed of sales.

What changes (if any) have you noticed in buyers and sellers since the COVID-19 situation began?

At the start of COVID the market paused. Now it is moving at a great rate of knots. Interstate buyers on lock down are using virtual tours/ walk throughs to decide if they will buy. Buyers are pushing higher and Vendors are less willing to negotiate.

Are the buyers changing?

Yes, as the budget has increased, so too has the demographic to an older more established base.

Where do you see demand coming from?

Demand comes from all over. Locally and interstate

What are your interests outside of real estate?

I love to go surfing, playing music as well as doing yoga and fitness.

What motivates you in your real estate career?

There is no better feeling than helping a family settle in their dream home and then making a great financial gain when they sell. Being part of their wealth creation process is super satisfying.

What is one thing you have learned over your years as an agent?

I've learnt to stay positive, pick up the phone and get busy.
