McGrath Estate Agents has announced the opening of a new office in Albury, with principals Gabrielle Douglas and Philip Bell, reflecting its intent to expand into regional NSW and Victoria.
Leading residential real estate group, McGrath Estate Agents has opened its new office in Albury, a move that reflects the company’s intent to expand further into new key regional areas in NSW and Victoria.
This follows on from the new office in Ballarat, its second office in regional Victoria last year.
Founder and Executive Director John McGrath said that the Albury/Wodonga region has excellent growth potential particularly as more people make lifestyle property decisions post COVID as the option to work remotely and possibly commute is being more widely accepted.

“We have always seen regional areas as important and have highlighted their significance in our McGrath Reports over the past few years," said Mr McGrath.
"Population growth, local economies, improved amenities and affordable housing will continue to positively impact these areas.”
Albury/Wodonga was highlighted in the McGrath Report 2020, with the population forecast to grow by 35 per cent to 124,472 by 2036 according to the Australian Bureau of Statistics.
With the busy Albury airport, North East Victoria is a beneficiary of a fly-in, fly-out lifestyle of the modern commuter, with access to lakes, national parks and ski fields.
Christopher Mourd, Head of Franchise Network for McGrath Estate Agents said they see this is a great opportunity.
"We see an exceptional opportunity to service our clients who have expressed interest in buying property outside metropolitan precincts," said Mr Mourd.
“This region as it sits on the borders of NSW and Victoria, is well-placed to withstand the impacts of the Coronavirus pandemic with busy manufacturing, commercial and business centres that provide a healthy employment sector for the area”.
