As of this week, there are 1203 jobs advertised on a popular job board for real estate, which is projected to grow by 7.3 per cent in the next five years.
With the prospect of more growth expected in the real estate industry and therefore more jobs available, there is the likelihood of more people entering the industry.
So if you’re looking – how do you compete with the crowd and get noticed?
Or if you’re coming in to the industry, what should you be doing to upskill / put yourself in a better position than others?
That’s easy – be the most knowledgeable, enthusiastic, coachable person in the room.
Here’s some things to consider and get on to:
Podcasts
What are you listening to on a regular basis? Podcasts are great, you can listen to them anywhere.
The ones that I know and listen to are free so there is no financial-affordability barrier (or excuses!).
Some to look into are: Million Dollar Agent (a trifecta of talent - John McGrath, Tom Panos and Troy Malcolm), High Performance (Josh Phegan), Real Estate Lessons (Ben Caballero)
Daily Updates
What do you subscribe to? What’s being delivered to your inbox as daily inspiration and a reminder of the basics?
Some goodies are: Elite Agent - https://eliteagent.com/subscribe/, Josh Phegan: https://joshphegan.com.au/, ReUncut – I’m being featured on here next month: https://reuncut.com.au/subscribe/.

Training
I was lucky enough to be invited in (as a complimentary attendee) to Josh Phegans’ Blue Print in August of this year.
I was surprised to see so many top agents, an Executive Director of one of Australia’s leading Franchises, and some leading teams attending training.
However it was a reminder that the best are always relearning.
To attend Josh’s last events for 2019 and be equipped for 2020 head to his List Sell Negotiate: https://joshphegan.com.au/lsn
Facebook Live
There are some terrific agents in the market who will do updates and chats. For these you’re best to research who the leaders are in your local area
Featured with this week’s newsletter are two roles that don’t require any prior experience in Real estate.
