It takes a lot for a moment to stand out in a career spanning two decades, but Realmark Coastal Managing Director Sean Hughes believes he reached the pinnacle of his real estate journey last Thursday as his team was awarded Large Agency of the Year at the 2019 REIWA Awards for Excellence.

Mr Hughes told WILLIAMS MEDIA being able to share the award with his team made it more significant than any individual recognition.

"Real Estate can be such an individual sport, which is why I’m so proud of what we have created at Realmark Cosatal," he said.

"It’s so unique to be part of a collective team striving for something Individually but at the same time so supportive and encouraging of each other. 

"Winning the award on Thursday evening most certainly one of the best moments yet."

There has been no shortage of highlights for Mr Hughes throughout the past 20 years, with his achievements ranging from speaking at AREC in 2006 to being a REIWA grandmaster winner every year for the last 14 years in a row 

Realmark Coastal has also been named the number one Realmark office for seven consecutive years.

Mr Hughes said his team had worked hard to position themselves as market leaders, while also strategically future-proofing the business.

“We have recruited some amazing new sales agents and had a strong focus on further building our internal culture and as a result have had amazing sales and property management successes – even in a down-turned market,” he said.

“I love my job and to have our team recognised in this way is really special.”
