Queensland Sotheby's International Realty has welcomed the return of experienced agent Karen Pirie.
Sotheby's Queensland has snared another prominent Gold Coast agent, with Karen Pirie returning to the agency.
Ms Pirie first worked for Sotheby Queensland 's in 2015 when CEO Paul Arthur took the helm, before leaving the following year.
She said a strong desire to re-establish a name for selling premium property in a high-end market prompted her to re-join the business.
"The majority of my career sales come from local apartments and beachfront properties in Surfers Paradise and Broadbeach," she said.
"My knowledge and experience selling in these buildings the past 17 years make me the ideal agent, and under the Queensland Sotheby’s International Realty banner, I am well on track to increasing my average sale price of 1.2 million.
"Aligning my expertise with such a gorgeous brand has clearly removed any price point ceiling I experienced with previous agencies, and by combining this with my extensive database it creates a recipe of sales success for my clients.”
Ms Pirie launched her real estate career in 2003 after relocating from New Zealand where she was a successful sportswoman, ranking sixth in mountain biking.
With a high percentage of referral business, she has since gone on to set street, building and suburb records.
She said her sporting background has played an important role in her approach to selling property.
"I know how much work it takes to achieve the very best,” she said.
“I don’t take short cuts and lots of people I meet become good friends as they know they can trust and be open with me which is probably why over 50 per cent of my sales are referrals from one source or another.”
Ms Pirie's highest sales to date have been $5.5 million for a beachfront property and a $9.6 million development site in Upper Coomera.
She told WILLIAMS MEDIA she anticipated growth in the prestige Gold Coast prestige market in the summer months.
"There are a lot of millionaires in Asia and India that are migrating because they see Australia as a hot spot," she said.
"Properties that have been on the market for months are getting attention and being sold."
Queensland Sotheby's International Realty CEO Paul Arthur said he was pleased Ms Pirie had “returned home”, noting her impressive ties to the Gold Coast community.
“Ms Pirie has a vast resume of repeat clients, which is testimony to her hard work and ability to establish a solid rapport," he said.
