Experienced Gold Coast agent Danny Woolbank will begin a new role within the region from May 1, launching his own RE/MAX agency at Broadbeach.
When Danny Woolbank launches his own RE/MAX franchise on May 1, it will mark a return to business ownership for the experienced Broadbeach agent.
Having lived on the Gold Coast since 1985, Mr Woolbank is well-known to many through his family business, the Southport Squash Centre, which he took over when he was just 21.
After switching to real estate, he spent three years at Harcourts, before moving to Ray White, where he has worked for the past 11 years.
The 43-year-old told WILLIAMS MEDIA he was excited for his next challenge in the industry.
"Ownership was always in the back of my mind, but I only began to think about it more seriously about 12 months ago," he said.
“It’s like a parallel to when I was a professional athlete and chose to buy, build and operate a successful squash business.
"After working for the one boss and good friend over the past 11 years it is time again to take control, and this time in the real estate industry.
“I want to build a team that has the same ethos as me and values a professional culture of sharing and supporting."
Joining Mr Woolbank at RE/MAX Property Centre’s launch are residential sales specialist KB Seo and administrator Cassie Owen.
Mr Woolbank said he aimed to add to his team throughout the year.
"I would like to have five sales staff by the end of the year," he said.
“RE/MAX Australia was undoubtedly the best fit when it came to network choice, with its culture being one of encouraging individual initiatives while supporting owners and agents to grow their own business,” he said.
“Our focus will be on the value we give our customers, knowing that leads to business growth, and our goal is to provide the ultimate real estate experience on the basis of building strong, trusting relationships."
RE/MAX Australia Franchise Director Joel Davoren welcomed Mr Woolbank as a RE/MAX broker owner.
“Opening RE/MAX Property Centre presented an exciting business opportunity for Danny and for our network, and RE/MAX is fortunate to welcome him," he said.
“Danny is a talented sales agent with strong leadership qualities and business acumen, and he will build a productive team that is clearly focused on its customers."
