LJ Hooker has appointed former Cooley Auctions auctioneer Toby Llewellyn to its network development team, bringing a background in real estate and technology to the recruitment division.
Former Cooley Auctions auctioneer, Toby Llewellyn not only called auctions across New South Wales but was also instrumental in rolling out its online auction management platform, AuctionNow.
Mr Llewellyn said that with his technology background and LJ Hooker's digital vision, it made sense to join the real estate group.
"Having a background in technology - initially in hospitality and then in property through AuctionNow - I've been impressed with how LJ Hooker has utilised digital as an enabler for sellers, buyers and agents in an evolving marketplace. LJ Hooker’s vision to take the lead in the industry's digital transformation excites me.
“There’s a lot of talent out there wanting to know how they can properly harness tech to future-proof their personal businesses."
Mr Llewellyn told WILLIAMS MEDIA he is looking forward to showcasing how LJ Hooker can engage the modern consumer in the digital landscape.
LJ Hooker Head of Network Development Ben Mitchell says Mr Llewellyn's appointment will help cement LJ Hooker's place as an "attraction brand" for agents.
"Toby has great connections throughout Sydney’s real estate circles, as well as regional New South Wales, having grown up in Bathurst," said Mr Mitchell.
"We've experienced a growth year in terms of network offices in 2018 and we're looking to capitalise on that platform in 2019; both through new offices in new marketplaces and bolstering existing agencies with top sales talent.
"As an auctioneer, Toby has a keen eye for agent talent. He'll complement our other network development specialists in cementing LJ Hooker as the attraction brand for agents in 2019 and beyond."
