CBRE's 'VAS Rising Professionals' program identifies top talent within the Valuation and Advisory Services team across the Asia Pacific.
The 12-month training program includes participants from 18 offices and 12 countries across the Asia Pacific region.
"We have ensured that we have representatives on the program from every country," Tom Edwards, CBRE’s Head of Valuation & Advisory Services, CBRE Asia Pacific told WILLIAMS MEDIA.
Designed to develop future leaders, CBRE's VAS Rising Professionals program provides team members with the platform and guidance to drive their careers, and develop personal and leadership skills.
"As part of the program, participants undertake both career management and leadership courses, along with attending a number of seminars, webinars and discussions with senior leaders from across different business lines. They are given an overview to areas of the business they would generally not be exposed to in their current day to day roles," Mr Edwards said.

The program was initially launched with a workshop in Hong Kong.
"The workshop allowed the opportunity for the participants to meet face to face, and had the unique opportunity to engage with APAC senior leadership at CBRE, while also undertaking an interactive personal, career development sessions," Mr Edwards said.
A key part of the program is about encouraging participants to connect with and build relationships with colleagues across borders, and in other areas of the business.
The program equips the participants with the ability to firstly understand and plan their career path, and then the skills and knowledge to execute their career plan, along with a greater understanding of the wider CBRE business."
Participants must be nominated by senior leaders in each office before a designated Rising Professionals Program committee narrows the list down to the final 24.
Previous participant, Bader Naamen, Regional Manager, Valuation & Advisory Services says the program equipped him with invaluable skills.
“The VAS Rising professional leadership program has equipped me with a new-found knowledge that will help prepare me in fulfilling tasks relevant to my specific career path and achieving my career goals. The program has also given me exposure to new connections within the broader CBRE business, in particular, senior employees who can offer guidance and advice, as well as the opportunity to build stronger relationships with external stakeholders," Mr Naamen told WILLIAMS MEDIA.
"The VAS Rising professional leadership program has provided me with a greater sense of professionalism and improved confidence in my career direction with CBRE.”
