Don't forget to do these three things in preparation for your next job interview, says Carlie Barnett, Director of Resolver Recruitment.
Snagging a job interview doesn’t mean you can let your guard down and relax.
Scoring that interview is only the first step. If you are serious about landing the job, you have to put in the preparation too.
There are the obvious things to do in preparation for an interview, like researching the company, preparing answers for the most common interview questions, and making sure you know exactly where you’re going on the day.
But what about the interview preparation that may not be so obvious? For real estate agents, there are quite a few specific things to do in preparation for a job interview.

Carlie Barnett, Director of Resolver Recruitment, told WILLIAMS MEDIA the three most important things real estate agents should always do before an important job interview.
Know your numbers
Barnett says real estate agents must always know the numbers for the properties they currently have on the market, and the number they have sold.
“It is important they know their numbers around how many properties they have listed, how many they have sold, how many days the property has spent on the market, how many are on their database, how many prospecting calls they take per day, and how many homes are in their core area,” Barnett said.

Add value
In any interview, you should always be prepared to talk about how you will bring value to the company, says Barnett.
“Real estate agents must be able to talk about the value they can bring, and what support, training, marketing or systems they will need to have in place when stepping into a new role, so both the candidate and the client are clear on the expectations and needs,” Barnett said.
Don’t go in making demands
Doing so is pretty much a sure-fire way to receive a rejection, says Barnett.
"Candidates shouldn't go in making all sorts of demands," Barnett said.

"Candidates should be prepared to talk about what they are looking for from their next role, and be able to communicate that without sounding demanding," she said.
