One of Brisbane's most luxurious homes, 27 Sutherland Avenue, Ascot, has sold for a suburb record of $11million through Coronis managing director Andrew Coronis and Patrick McKinnon of Coronis Hamilton.
The $11 million sale by Brisbane agency Coronis of one of the city's most luxurious homes, 27 Sutherland Avenue, Ascot, has set a new record for the suburb, and is one of Brisbane's top sales.
The private sale was negotiated off market by Coronis managing director Andrew Coronis and Patrick McKinnon of Coronis Hamilton
Built in 1930, the Hamptons-style home has six bedrooms, and six bathrooms, and occupies prime position on a 2,024sqm block on one of Brisbane’s most prestigious tree-lined streets. The property underwent a multi-million-dollar renovation in recent years.
“The buyer, who wishes to remain private, had been looking for the right property for quite some time so we’re extremely happy that we were able to facilitate negotiations between him and the current owner," said Coronis.
McKinnon said his high-end listings are attracting a lot of attention.
“Houses like Sutherland Avenue rarely come on the market," he said.
“The latest migration figures indicate more than 17,000 people moved to Queensland this past financial year which I think is a contributing factor to the increased interest in this market," he said.
“The difference between what you can buy here compared to Sydney for the same price is significantly different, as Brisbane’s property market offers better value for money, so I’m seeing quite a few interstate buyers wanting to upgrade their home as they move to Queensland.”
Only five Brisbane properties have sold for more than $11 million, according to Coronis.
