The new Port Douglas office will be the fourth Queensland Sotheby's has opened in the last twelve months, and will be headed up by well-known local agent, Barbara Wolveridge.
Barbara Wolveridge has been appointed director of Queensland Sotheby’s International Realty – Tropical North Queensland, and will be based out of a new office in Port Douglas.
Queensland Sotheby’s International Realty has now opened four new offices in the last 12 months, as well as launching the Projects and Developments division.
Wolveridge, who entered the real estate industry in 1984, is one of Queensland’s most high-profile agents, and has worked extensively at the top end of the market.
“I am honoured to be bringing the reputable luxury brand of Sotheby’s International Realty to Port Douglas,” Wolveridge said.
The presence of a Sotheby's Port Douglas office puts the market "on the world stage", she said.
“Sotheby’s International Realty’s global reach of 930 offices, combined with my team’s comprehensive local knowledge, means we can now truly represent sellers and buyers in ways never before seen in this area," she said.
Paul Arthur, Queensland Sotheby’s International Realty CEO, said Wolveridge has "a rich real estate history and a track record of significant sales" and is the "perfect fit" for Sotheby's "impreccible reputation".
Queensland Sotheby’s International Realty North Queensland was associated with the high-profile sales of Mandalay House and Tanamera.
“Many of the property owners in the region are existing Sotheby’s International Realty clients, so it made logical sense for us to open an office in Port Douglas and support them with their varied needs,” Arthur said.
