McGrath has appointed four leading agents to its busy Northern Beaches team, in the wake of reports that 36 agents have left the company.
McGrath Estate Agents is bolstering its depleted team with the appointment of four leading agents to the Avalon company-owned office on Sydney's booming Northern Beaches.
James Baker, Adrian Venturi, David Eden, and Jonathan Fletcher will join the team currently led by Lauren Garner.
Avalon is one of Sydney’s most desireable and tightly-held beachside areas. It's median house price has risen 12.9 per cent over the past 12 months to $1,550,000 (source: CoreLogic RP Data, October 2016).
McGrath Regional Sales Manager, Wayne Walter, told SCHWARTZWILLIAMS the Northern Beach property market is booming.
“The northern beaches continues to be attractive to both owner occupiers and investors," he said.
“With construction beginning on the Northern Beaches Hospital, Westfield Warringah currently undergoing a $310 million redevelopment and expansion, and Dee Why undergoing major redevelopment, demand for northern beaches property will continue to strengthen," he said.
Walter said he expects property prices in the Avalon area to keep rising throughout 2017.
Improvements "coupled with low stock levels" should see prices continue rising in 2017, he said.
Walter said the new agents are already "well-known in the local community".
James Baker has more than 20 years of sales experience and was the number one salesperson nationally with Raine & Horne in 2016.
Adrian Venturi, a former professional tennis player, is one of the upper northern beaches top sales agents specialising in the suburbs of Bilgola Plateau and Avalon.
David Eden is a 30-year veteran in the industry having previously owned and managed his own agency in Castle Hill, before moving to the northern beaches in 2004.
Jonathan Fletcher began his real estate career in Avalon in 2004. He quickly rose to the top percentage of sales people in the LJ Hooker Global Network, before moving to London and gaining international sales experience.
Baker said the high costs associated with buying and selling property are contributing to owners holding onto their properties for longer, contributing to a continued shortfall of stock and booming prices.
“Low stock levels coupled with consistently strong buyer demand is resulting in many premium results," he said.
McGrath has seven offices on Sydney's Northern Beaches.
