A representative of the most powerful industry lobby group in the world, the National Association of Realtors, has just visited Adelaide.
The relationship between The Real Estate Institute of South Australia and the Real Estate Institute of Australia with the most powerful industry lobby group in the world, the National Association of Realtors, was further cemented with the visit of Gary Thomas to Adelaide. Gary is a past President of NAR as well as the Californian Association of Realtors and is the new Presidential Liaison person between Australia and the United States. We took the opportunity to show him the best of the best here in South Australia and a big thank you goes out to Robin Turner and Robin Matters (and others) who assisted me in entertaining Gary.
The highlight for me was the realisation that the world is becoming a smaller place and that we certainly have more in common with the US than less. Along with Australian Specialist Designations, NAR is providing an opportunity to enable the various Specialist Designations they have in America to be bestowed on Australians in the real estate industry. In fact while Gary was in town he personally presented two Specialist Designations to Michael Whitrow (Buyers Agency) and Quentin Kilian (International Specialty).
