Karl Secondis is returning to the Ray White group, and to Fannie Bay, where he began his real estate career.
Well known Darwin agent Karl Secondis has decided to rejoin Ray White.
Secondis will work alongside his long-time friend and colleague, Korgan Hucent, the principal of Ray White Bayside.
Secondis brought Ray White to Darwin when he established Ray White Darwin in 2002.
Secondis sold out of Ray White in 2008, and spent time travelling with his family overseas. He then opereated as a freelance auctioneer on the Gold Coast and on the northern coast of New South Wales, before returning to Darwin in 2010 to start his own brand, One Real Estate.
In May 2017, Secondis sold One Real Estate's rent roll to Hucent, explaining that the "standards and business values" at Ray White were a good fit for his property management clients.
Since then, Secondis has been working solely as a salesperson, for the last three years alongside his personal assistant and then sales asssociate, Rhiannon Oakhill.
Secondis said that Oakhill's decision to return to university to study medicine was the "final thing to make me think it's time to embrace change" and take the leap to Ray White.
"Darwin has had some pretty tough times for the last 12 months," Secondis told SCHWARTZWILLIAMS.
"Partnering with people who are long-term in the industry seemed to be the way to go," he said.
Secondis and Hucent have known each other for many years, and in fact Secondis recruited Hucent to the Ray White Group back in 2005.
Secondis returns to working in Fannie Bay, where he began his real estate career working for his mother, Yvonne Hughes, in her agency, Hughes and Hughes (subsequently rebranded to Your Home Realty).
Secondis and Hucent aim to build an auction-focused sales business, focused in particular around the areas of Fannie Bay and Darwin's surrounding inner suburbs.
