Queensland Sotheby's is continuing its expansion in Queensland with the opening of a new North Gold Coast office.
Lisa Halpin, who has achieved some of the highest residential sale prices on the Gold Coast, will head up Queensland Sotheby’s new North Gold Coast office, which is due to open this spring.
Having worked in real estate for many years overseas, Halpin only began working in the Gold Coast real estate industry five years ago, yet she already has more than $130 million worth of sales to her name.
Halpin previously worked with both McGrath and Savills, and began with Queensland Sotheby’s International Realty on the 29 January at the Main Beach office.
Halpin is currently marketing a lavish seven bedroom, 12 bathroom, Mediterranean-style property at 3-7 Sir Lancelot Close, Sovereign Islands (see image below).

“I knew the Sotheby’s brand well from England, where I’m originally from, and also in Dubai where I lived for 12 years and owned and managed my own real estate business," said Halpin.
"It’s an international brand with a massive platform in the residential market, having 930 offices around the world. I’m looking forward to introducing clients to the international experience that Sotheby’s International Realty offers," she said.
Queensland Sotheby’s International Realty CEO, Paul Arthur, says the new North Gold Coast office will service Mount Tamborine, Hope Island, Sanctuary Cove, Sovereign Island and south along the Broadwater to Runaway Bay, and will cover everything from prestigious country estates to luxurious waterfront mansions and FIRB-approved residences in Sanctuary Cove and Hope Island Resort.
“We are very excited to have Lisa representing the Sotheby’s International Realty brand on the northern Gold Coast," said Arthur.
Halpin will visit the Sotheby’s International Realty Headquarters in New York in March, where she will spend time with agents in Manhattan.
"It’s especially exciting to become director and principal of the new office, as I believe there are only two other women on the Gold Coast who carry this title,” said Halpin.
Halpin's appointment follows the opening of Sotheby's new Tropical North Queensland office, headed up by Barbara Wolveridge, and adds to the strong stable of powerful women already working under the Sotheby’s International Realty banner, including Main Beach senior sales executives Carol Carter and Mashelle Jones.
In fact, Carter and Halpin alone have achieved four of the top 10 residential sales in Queensland in recent months.
Carter, who recently sold one of Queensland's most expensive homes, Mandalay House in the Whitsundays, welcomed Halpin to the team.
“I believe Lisa will enjoy the company culture here at Queensland Sotheby’s International Realty. It’s a very professional, supportive environment, with a solid team spirit which resonates throughout not only our Queensland offices but the offices world-wide," she said.
Carter will travel to India in March to meet with Sotheby’s International Realty offices to promote luxury Queensland real estate in the lead up to the Commonwealth games.
