McGrath Estate Agents has opened its tenth Victorian office, with the opening of McGrath Coburg / Brunswick which will be run by Michael Chan and Tania Toti.

McGrath Estate Agents has opened its tenth Victorian office, with the launch of McGrath Coburg / Brunswick.

McGrath Founder and Executive Director John McGrath said Melbourne still offers good long-term opportunitites for buyers.

“Melbourne is such a vibrant and vital market in the Australian real estate landscape. It has performed very strongly over the past 12 months and while the market is starting to slow, I believe Melbourne still has opportunity for good growth in the long term.

"As price growth moderates, the next six to 12 months will offer good buying opportunities for those looking to break into one of the nation’s most sought after markets in a truly international city.

"I believe a breather is healthy for any boom markets," he said.

McGrath Coburg / Brunswick's team of 13 agents will be led by Michael Chan and Tania Toti. The office will service the suburbs of Brunswick, Brunswick East, Brunswick West, Coburg, Coburg North, Pascoe Vale South, Pascoe Vale and Fawkner.

Coburg and Pascoe Vale are less than 10 kilometers from the Melbourne CBD, and are known for their vibrant multicultural community. Brunswick is a trendy and urbane suburb with a strong café culture, restaurant and bar scene.

“Lifestyle is a key driver for the Coburg, Pascoe Vale and Brunswick markets. The region is culturally rich with a lively village feel. Proximity to the CBD and Melbourne University, good transport links and a diverse selection of eateries and bars attracts a wide range of buyers,” said Chan.

Coburg house prices have risen 46.9 per cent over the past three years alone to a median of $990,000, according to CoreLogic data. Pascoe Vale houses have increased in value by 47.9 per cent to $850,000. And Brunswick has experienced growth of 51.8 per cent over the same period to $1,151,000.

The area features a range of architectural styles, including Victorian terraces, Californian bungalows, and new homes, including apartments and townhouses.
