The Clown Doctors Annual Ball to raise funds for The Humour Foundation will be held at the Mittagong RSL on Saturday, 2 September.
Di Jones Real Estate is encouraging members of the Southern Highlands community to attend the Clown Doctors Annual Ball to raise funds for The Humour Foundation.
The black-tie event will be held at the Carrington Room of the Mittagong RSL on Saturday 2 September at 6.30pm.
Rob Ward, CEO of Di Jones Real Estate, said for the last 12 months the agency has been supporting the charity that helps to bring laughter to the lives of sick children.
Ward said the Di Jones team took a vote to choose which charity they would support. With many of the staff having children themselves, the team chose The Humour Foundation.
The Clown Doctors are specially trained by The Humour Foundation to work in the hospital setting, said Ward.
They are "professional performers selected for their high level of improvisation" and "their sensitive and caring personal qualities" said Ward.
"The Humour Foundation provides ongoing training and support to enable Clown Doctors to work to their best ability in the unique hospital environment," he said.
The Humour Foundation relies on donations and fundraising to keep the Clown Doctors program running.
"The Clown Doctors Annual Ball is one of the key initiatives of the Humour Foundation,” said Ward.
Tickets to the event are $99 and include entry to the ball, a glass of champagne on arrival, and a delicious three-course meal. Entertainment will be by Soulganic, and the MC is Dr Smarty Pants. Marie Johnson will be the guest speaker.
There will also be a silent auction and the draw of a brand new Hyundai i30 on the night.
