You can enjoy the challenge of climbing in the comfort of your own home.
Climbing walls can be a creative and practical feature to add to your home.
A corrugated metal-clad house in Jackson, Wyoming, designed by local architecture firm Carney Logan Burke, has a climbing wall extending up one side.
The home was designed for a local resident who wanted a cost-effective, modern home that made a statement in a "tired, pedestrian neighbourhood" east of Jackson. The house is designed around two box forms, and on the north facade a climbing wall with colourful foot and handholds stretches the height of the building and provides access to the roof.
A home designed by Linda Brettler Architect contains a plywood climbing wall in a children's bedroom, providing the occupant with the opportunity to play, exercise and learn to climb.

Climbing walls can be custom build into the home, or modular climbing panels can be added to a room or wall. The walls have to be securely anchored at the top and bottom.
