Pleasingly, since the Christmas and New Year period there has been more balance and stability in the market with the median house price evening out and sales activity increasing 15 per cent on the December 2015 quarter.
There were numerous suburbs within the metropolitan area where Perth tenants could rent a house or unit for less than the city's overall median price of $400 a week.
Housing affordability has continued to improve in Perth, with the median house price easing to $535,000 for the three months to 30 November, according to REIWA data.
