The home was sold by Patrick McKinnon of Place Ascot, with buyer Caitlin describing the purchase as “totally unplanned and serendipitous”.
Blending a Hamptons-style design with a modern American-inspired aesthetic, and an illustrious history, this six-bedroom Hendra home has been sold by Patrick McKinnon of Place Ascot for $3.65 million, a record for the north-east Brisbane suburb.

The marketing campaign ran from November 2020 to February 2021, with 156 inspections prior to the sale, including 5 virtual inspections.
“I’ve never heard more feedback that it’s the best house buyers have ever seen,” Patrick McKinnon told WILLIAMS MEDIA. “Hendra is undergoing a massive gentrification as the stables have moved into the infield. The area is becoming the new Clayfield.”
There was much interest in the size of the home and the stables at the back which have been converted into a pool house. “Built by Innovare, it’s one of a kind that cannot be replicated.”

The couple were married in January, having postponed their wedding four times due to COVID and are expecting their first child in April. “The huge home with its large rear garden and swimming pool is perfect for a growing family." She continued.
Caitlin with horse racing in her DNA felt an immediate connection with the racing pedigree of the house, "I loved that the name of the house was 'Caulfield House' and that the old stables have been converted into the pool house,” Caitlin told WILLIAMS MEDIA.
However, the purchase had to be conditional on sale of their existing property, a lovely home in Hamilton. The couple decided to sell the Hamilton property off market, without opens and advertising, so Patrick McKinnon brought two people through, with offers exchanged that very weekend. “It’s totally crazy, in one weekend I had bought and sold a property and wasn’t planning on either!”

The flowing floorplan includes a generous open-plan living and dining area with three-metre-high ceilings, a gourmet kitchen with a double-glazed glass-encased wine room, breakfast bar, and a storage-filled butler’s pantry that links to the residence’s garage.
Outside the covered al fresco area with outdoor kitchen overlooks the in-ground infinity edge swimming pool and the self-contained pool house accommodation converted from the stables of celebrated thoroughbred Bore Head.
