The world-class ‘Botanic Collection’ penthouse overlooking Melbourne’s Royal Botanic Gardens has been sold by Damon Krongold and Peter Kudelka of Kay & Burton in conjunction with Andrew  Macmillan of Jellis Craig following a 4-week Expressions of Interest campaign.

The house-sized South Yarra residence is one of three in ‘The Botanic Collection’ at 30 Anderson, designed by architect Rob Mills and landscape architect Jack Merlo for the Sadikay Group.

Offering luxury living across 700 sqm (approx.) over two levels, the penthouse boasts an unimpeded outlook over Melbourne’s Royal Botanic Gardens, and more distant views to Port Phillip Bay and the city skyline.

Speaking to The Real Estate Conversation, Damon Krongold said there was a substantial amount of interest in the property, with 16 inspections prior to the sale, including 2 virtual inspections. 

“Interest was substantial, both locally and off shore – due to location, quality, architecture/design, rarity of the offering, and enormity of the cost to replicate.”

Although the sale price is subject to a non-disclosure agreement, the 3-bedroom penthouse is believed to have been sold to a local buyer within the quoted range of $16.5m - $17.5m.

Although showing signs of slowing for the holiday season, the property market in the area remains strong for well located, rare and unique luxury property Damon told The Real Estate Conversation.
