McGrath Estate Agents announced opening of new office in the outer Melbourne suburb of Craigieburn, headed by Principals Terry Singh and Gary Verma.
McGrath Estate Agents announced it has opened a new office in the outer Melbourne suburb of Craigieburn, headed by Principals Terry Singh and Gary Verma.
Chris Mourd, Head of Franchise Network for McGrath, said the company regards the Victorian market a very important one in the company’s expansion strategy. “We are strategically looking at property markets that have excellent growth potential and we believe Craigieburn is ideally positioned due to its affordability, infrastructure development, proximity to major employment hubs and strong population growth. It has become an increasingly attractive area for both homeowners and investors, located just 25km north of Melbourne’s CBD.
“As Melbourne's urban sprawl continues, areas in and around Craigieburn are seeing increased demand as more people move to the outer suburbs seeking a family-friendly lifestyle while enjoying its parks, retail and excellent schools. The opportunity to buy in housing estates and developments in the surrounding areas makes it an attractive choice for investors and residents seeking affordable housing.”
Mr Mourd adds, “We are very fortunate to have partnered with Terry and Gary, who are both respected in the area with strong community ties and an enviable knowledge of the local market.”
McGrath Craigieburn will service the area from Mickleham in the north, to Westmeadows in the south, to Craigieburn in the east, to Donnybrook in the west. Key suburbs will include Craigieburn, Greenvale, Roxburgh Park, Mickleham and Kalkallo.
Craigieburn is well situated with excellent connectivity to both Melbourne CBD and Tullamarine airport with excellent access to public transport. The area has benefited from major upgrades to Mickleham Road that was completed in late 2024, making it easier and safer to walk and cycle in the area. The $300 million Craigieburn Road upgrade is the biggest road transport infrastructure project in Melbourne’s outer north and is expected to be completed later this year.
McGrath Craigieburn Principals Terry Singh and Gary Verma will lead a team of 13 to cover property sales and property management.
Principal Terry Singh, a Craigieburn resident, explains: “The Craigieburn and Mickleham property market continues to thrive due to strong demand, affordability, and ongoing infrastructure development. As the area grows, we see excellent opportunities for buyers whether they be owner occupiers, or investors. Families are drawn to the area as it offers a quiet suburban lifestyle while still providing access to the city’s amenities. With increasing buyer activity, and strong rental demand, we expect this to continue. There is a diversity of product available for upgraders and first home buyers from standalone houses priced on average of $650,000; townhouses around $400,000. Equally there is also strong investor interest in townhouses and house and land packages.”
Co-Principal Gary Verma, a Mickleham resident adds, “We both were attracted to McGrath and decided to rebrand our agency offering. Their vision, values and commitment to excellence align with our own goals. We believe their strong brand, innovative approach and customer-centric focus will help us elevate our service and achieve greater success in our local market.”
Mr Singh and Mr Verma have a combined 16 years’ experience selling real estate in the area and are both deeply immersed in the local community.
