Aurora Property Partner and Director of Sales for Queensland, Charles Higgins, has welcomed the team behind a Newmarket agency, which rebranded to the growing independent this week.
Aurora Property has welcomed the team behind the former Newmarket agency, which rebranded to the growing independent this week.
The team, headed by award-winning Principal Mario Sultana and his wife Karen Elliott, this week re-branded as Aurora Property, continuing to focus on an inner-north marketplace that includes Newmarket, Kelvin Grove, Grange and surrounds.
The rebrand comes on the back of Aurora Property organically doubling its sales division over the past 90 days. Aurora Property has attracted talent which appreciates its premium marketing assets, the opportunity for agents to grow a saleable asset through their own rent roll and a culture that respects key focus areas.
Aurora Property Partner and Director of Sales for Queensland, Charles Higgins, said he was excited by the opportunities the new team brought.
“Mario and Karen opened their Newmarket office in 2009, growing it to a business that sells $35-$50m worth of property per month and around 400 settlements a year,” he said.
“They’re a trusted partner for sellers in a dynamic inner-city market that attracts entry-level buyers, upgraders and premium $3m plus purchasers.
“We’re thrilled Mario and Karen recognise the growth opportunities we can offer their agents and property managers.”
Director of Aurora Group, Summer Wang, said the move was a display of confidence in the Aurora Group’s commitment and service to clients.
“The team has many loyal clients with whom they’ve developed longstanding relationships,” she said. “We’re looking forward to working alongside their sales agents and property managers, adding value to the service they’ve become known for.
“They’ve placed confidence in our sales and property management offering and we’re excited to enter 2025, using our combined expertise for even greater results.”
Mr Sultana said he was ‘energised’ by the move.
“I’ve been impressed with Aurora’s marketing, systems and procedures and they’ve made the move as seamless as possible,” he said.
“We have a lot of experience in our team – people who have been in the area for 10-15 years – and will carry our relationships and knowledge into Aurora.
“Our agents will retain their independence, build-up their own business through Aurora’s offering and leverage the support that allows them to focus on their client relationships.”
Mr Sultana added: “Charles has a lot of experience in leading teams and he’ll provide valuable guidance to our agents and their individual goals”.
Aurora Property is scaling up as Brisbane's property market comes into focus. Ahead of the 2032 Olympics and Paralympics, it will benefit from public and private investment that positions it as a global city.
Aurora Property Brisbane is part of the Aurora Group, which includes its local property management affiliate Aurora Realty. Aurora’s full-service Sydney-based agencies at Neutral Bay, Cammeray and Epping are also part of the broader Group.
