The Real Estate Institute of NSW (REINSW) has announced Thomas McGlynn as its President effective immediately.
As CEO and Director of BresicWhitney, Mr McGlynn is one of Australia’s most prominent and respected thought leaders, mentors, and real estate coaches, bringing two decades of industry experience to the role.
He has served on the REINSW Board for the past four years and says it’s an honour to be elected President.
“It’s a privilege and an honour to become President of the REINSW. As the industry’s peak body, our road ahead must be anchored by continuing to support, protect and enhance the value that we provide our members, our clients, partners, and communities,” Mr McGlynn says.
“In 2025, the REINSW will mark 115 years of representing the interests of real estate professionals and consumers and together with the team, my focus will be to heed the experiences of the past, and draw on the lessons from the mentors who have preceded me in this role, to position the Institute for a bright and sustainable long-term future.
“The work of REINSW continues to deliver critical, positive change and innovation, but there is always more to strive for. Effective and engaging leadership is key to moving us forward, ensuring we embrace the great responsibility we all share as real estate professionals.
“I look forward to continuing the work that I have been grateful to do with the Board of Directors over recent years. I extend my genuine thanks to all those who support and believe not only in my contribution and vision as President, but the strategic importance of the Institute in building a prosperous future,” he says.
In addition to the strategic engagement with industry and Government, Mr McGlynn is focused on continuing to create strong pathways for agents to enhance the way they serve customers from a technological and professional perspective.
REINSW CEO Tim McKibbin says Mr McGlynn is the ideal leader to take REINSW forward into its next phase of growth as the industry’s peak body.
“Thomas brings vast experience and strong leadership to REINSW and we’re fortunate to have him at the helm to drive our agenda forward at this crucial time for the real estate market, both for agents and consumers,” Mr McKibbin says.
