NAB has been named as Harcourts’ banking partner, further reinforcing its commitment to supporting growth and opportunity in Australia’s real estate industry.
This strategic partnership will see NAB provide specialised business banking services to support over 400 Harcourts offices and almost 1800 sales consultants nationally including providing priority access to its innovative new payment solution, NAB Portal Pay.
NAB Professional Services Banking Executive, Donna Kosiek, said NAB’s strength as Australia’s biggest business lender, and tailored solutions designed for the industry, positions it as a bank of choice for the dynamic and fast-growing Harcourts brand.
“Many Harcourts agents and business owners are keen to seize new growth opportunities in the year ahead, and our dedicated real estate bankers are ideally positioned to support them at every step,” said Ms. Kosiek. ‘With deep industry expertise and insights, NAB’ specialist bankers are uniquely equipped to help Harcourts agents navigate their distinct challenges and achieve their business goals.”
NAB Professional Services ‘Next Gen Real Estate’ Report found that over 8 in 10 real estate agency owners are looking to grow their business in the next year, with people, acquisitions and technology cited as the key enablers of growth.
Meanwhile, NAB Group Economics continues to forecast a relatively soft landing for the economy. Although growth has slowed, largely due to softness in the private sector, the bank expects H2 2024 to mark the low point, with growth moving back toward trend levels in 2025.
While price growth in the property sector has moderated, underlying demand remains strong, supported by an elevated population in the near-term. On the supply side, Q2 saw a rise in completions stabilisation in new approvals. However, NAB Group Economics considers a significant rebalancing in the property market unlikely in the near term.
Harcourt’s CEO, Adrian Knowles said: “As Australia's fastest growing real estate brand, Harcourts really resonates with NAB’s focus on people and technology as key enablers of growth. We’re excited to be working with NAB’s team of specialist bankers with their deep understanding of the real estate industry.”
