Real estate industry high achiever Ben Stevens has been appointed the new chair of Professionals Group Australia with a mandate to transform the brand. 

Mr Stevens, 38, becomes the youngest appointee to the role after a meteoric 10-year career that includes three years as a board director and leading the group’s most successful NSW office, Professionals Bathurst. 

Professionals Chief Executive Officer Katherine Gonzalez-Cork said she was delighted to today officially announce Mr Stevens’ appointment during Professionals International Conference being held in Sydney. 

“Ben’s appointment has been enthusiastically welcomed across the network,’’ Ms Gonzalez-Cork said. 

“Ben is passionate about the Professionals brand and the real estate industry. He is a young, progressive leader, full of energy and committed to creating change to drive the network forward. 

“He brings a clear vision to revitalise the brand, focusing on marketing innovation and delivering a new standard of excellence.’’ 

Mr Stevens replaces outgoing chair Cam Wilson who is returning his focus to his business, Professionals Armadale in Perth, and his family. 

“Ben embodies the qualities of a young dynamic leader. His vision for our industry is truly inspiring, He is not only a highly successful businessman but also brings a fresh perspective,’’ Mr Wilson said. 

“I have every confidence that under his leadership, Professionals Group Australia will grow and adapt to the challenges of our evolving market.’’ 

Mr Stevens began his real estate career with Professionals Bathurst in 2014 before he purchased the business two years later and transformed it into a multiple award-winning office. 

“I never considered myself a replacement for Cam until he asked me to consider the role of chair. It was a very humbling moment when I became the board’s unanimous choice,’’ Mr Stevens said. 

“Professionals has a proud history and I honour that legacy with a commitment to drive a bold transformation across the group, focusing on modernising operations, creating audacious marketing strategies and fostering a culture of innovation that will place Professionals as an industry leader. 

“I enjoy a wonderful working relationship with Katherine and the diverse representation of our members who make up the board. The camaraderie across the network and willingness to support each other makes Professional unique.
