Laing+Simmons has expanded its in-house property management team with the appointment of Sharnee Hundy, boosting the complete property management service it delivers through head office to its state-wide network of offices.
Ms Hundy joins the Corporate team as Senior Property Manager though she is no stranger to the Laing+Simmons family. Previously, she helped coordinate the busy rent roll of three western Sydney based offices as part of Laing+Simmons The Abassi Group.
Now she re-joins Laing+Simmons to take up a key role in Head of Property Management Michael Anania’s Corporate property management team. “The in-house property management service we facilitate for our offices at the Corporate level is one of our brand’s key points of difference,” Mr Anania says.
“From head office, we can perform the property management functions of our offices to whatever degree they need. Some offices need us to manage specific tasks, while others require us to take care of the entire property management function.
“Our offices may have a property manager take a week’s holiday and need someone to sit in the chair. We can do that too. Whatever PM support they need, we have the resources in place, and with Sharnee now part of the team, our capacity to deliver a seamless service at the corporate level is enhanced,” he says.
Ms Hundy welcomes the opportunity to connect with Laing+Simmons offices across the state and tailor fit-for-purpose property management support strategies depending on their bespoke needs.
“It’s about understanding the specific PM needs of our offices and having the flexibility to target our resources in precisely the areas which deliver the greatest value for our network. Effective property management demands specialist expertise and for our network to be able to tap into this via the group’s head office is a distinct advantage,” Ms Hundy says.
According to Mr Anania, the Laing+Simmons approach represents the next evolution of property management service delivery.
“For the future of property management, we envision a seamless corporate experience in which Laing+Simmons people focus on their core business while we, as franchisor, take care of the administrative heavy lifting to provide unparalleled service,” Mr Anania says.
“The growth of our in-house team helps makes this vision a reality.”
The Laing+Simmons Corporate property management team can facilitate short or long-term support to its network offices, depending on individual business needs.
Whether it’s to complement the core sales function of their businesses in a permanent capacity, or to fill the service gap until such a time they establish their own property management business, the choice is theirs.
Additionally, the company has invested in regional property management support offices in strategic locations to service large geographic areas, introduced an outsourced property management service accessed on a time-share basis for offices not wishing to commit to a full-time resource, and established a property management helpline team members can access whenever they need.
