LUXURY LIST WEEKEND spoke to Michael about his career in real estate.
Why real estate?
I love dealing with people and enjoy the challenge of matching my clients with properties we have listed for sale and other properties off market as well. Every day is different and I get to meet a lot of interesting people.

In 40 years of working in real estate I have learnt that you need to listen to your clients very closely and find out what their requirements are and then suggest potential properties for their consideration. You need to build rapport with your clients, offer fantastic service, be very friendly, honest and approachable.

The market has stabilised, and we have very strong demand for well renovated family homes and vacant land for sale to build new luxury homes or townhouses.
Have you noticed any changes in buyers and sellers in the last six months?
We found the market levelled off in June 2022 and prices have slowly softened over the last 6 months.

Vendors want good advice on their homes’ potential sale price and recommended method of sale.
We would recommend that their home is presented to a very high standard with professional styling and a tailored marketing campaign to maximise the sale price. Whether via an auction, Expressions of Interest campaign or Private sale, we will work very hard to refer buyers that we have met from selling other homes and introduce underbidders and new buyers from our extensive database. Follow the process and you will achieve a great result.

We have several younger families looking at upsizing their current home and empty nesters looking to downsize to a smaller low maintenance home and perhaps buy a lifestyle property or enjoy travelling overseas more. Pick a 'Michael Ebeling' that you get on well with and trust. Discuss very clearly with your 'Michael Ebeling' what type of home you want to purchase, your budget and the location that suits your lifestyle needs.
What is one thing you have learned as an agent?
Listen very closely to your clients’ requirements and suggest all properties that you think might suit your buyer, even if the property is in another location. Buyers often buy in other suburbs to get the home they love.
