After two decades in real estate with Australasia’s largest real estate group, Paul Wrigley has opened his third office under the Ray White brand in North Lake Macquarie.
The born and bred local opened Ray White Toronto 22 years ago, before expanding into his second office Ray White Wangi Wangi 12 years ago.
Mr Wrigley said that opening into North Lake Macquarie was the perfect final piece in the puzzle in the north-west Lake Macquarie region.
“When the opportunity presented itself, I immediately knew that it was time to expand onto this side of the lake and have a physical presence in the region,” Mr Wrigley said.
The new office was previously known as Bill Shepherd Real Estate, with the existing team staying on in the business to continue their legacy under the Ray White name.
Mr Wrigley is one of the longest standing Ray White Principals, after finding his passion for real estate with the company and building a respected name in the area.
“We have worked hard to build our reputation in this region that we know and love, and the Ray White group offers more resources than ever before,” he said.
“Ray White is a very well recognised brand; we attract a lot of clients from the Sydney market who recognise the name or have already had a positive experience,”
Mr Wrigley said that being 1.5 hours from Sydney, the popularity of the region is stronger than ever, almost becoming an ‘extended suburb of Sydney’.
“COVID-19 made people realise that they can get out of the rat race, work from home, and live in a great area for their lifestyle,”
“The lake is very central to our lifestyle here; it is four times the size of Sydney Harbour, it is beautiful and clean, and is perfect for fishing and sailing,” he said.
The Lake Macquarie region is classified as a growth corridor to Newcastle, with many new housing estates in development, as well as many existing 100+ year old homes.
“It is a beautiful place to live, and there is a reason I have been here my whole life. I have raised all three of my children here too,” he said.
“Apart from the magnificent lake being our backyard, there is also a real village and community-focused atmosphere here.”
Mr Wrigley said that he will implement the same customer service strategies into his new business that has led to success in his first two offices.
“We are not your typical real estate business; a lot of agents do what suits them, rather than in the best interest of the seller,” he said.
“We have an iron-clad service guarantee and believe in smart, modern marketing with good old fashioned service.”
Mr Wrigley said that his goal was to build Ray White North Lake Macquarie into the same well-oiled machine as Toronto and Wangi Wangi, building a genuinely great sales and property management business.
“Our vendors and landlords come first and we will do whatever it takes to service their individual needs. We will also look at recruiting more great individuals into our new business,” he said.
Ray White New South Wales CEO Andrew McCulloch congratulated Mr Wrigley on the expansion of his legacy in the region.
“Paul has built such a fantastic business over his many years with the group and has firmly established Ray White as the go-to agency in the region, so we are excited to see where he takes the North Lake Macquarie region,” Mr McCulloch said.
“We congratulate the existing team and look forward to meeting the new up-and-coming professionals that will thrive under the leadership and guidance of the experienced team at Ray White.”
