Award-winning real estate agent Emily Grainger turns to @realty to launch her new Agency in competative Melbourne market.
Award-winning real estate sales agent Emily Grainger needed to move fast when she decided to launch her new independent agency, Grainger Real Estate.
In early 2022, the experienced agent had left the franchise agency where she worked and aimed to be back up-and-running in the competitive Melbourne market as quickly as possible.
“I turned to @realty to use their OASIS platform and they delivered everything I needed to get my new agency up and going within a week, thanks to their excellent marketing and support team which designed my logos, branding and website,” Ms Grainger, who sells property across Melbourne, said.
“They pushed everything as quickly as they could in the short amount of time I had.”
“Anything else I needed, or requested such as business cards, brochures, listing kits, etc. – I received everything in the following weeks.
“Having that full support team was exactly what I was looking for and before discovering @realty’s OASIS platform I didn’t think anyone offered that.”
OASIS - which stands for Online Agency Support and Integrated Systems – was launched by @realty in 2020 to enable boutique real estate agencies and sole operators to operate under their own brand while accessing @realty’s back-end support systems, including legal, settlements, marketing, website and graphic design, CRM software, administration support and more.
Ms Grainger said she launched her Pakenham-based office Grainger Real Estate in March.
Despite being operational for just two months, she has already employed staff.
“Business is going far better than I had imagined, and I’m already looking at bringing on more staff to handle the new business.”
Ms Grainger said at the same time as enabling her to rapidly launch her agency, @realty’s OASIS model also helped her to keep more of her commission.
“The model means I keep 100 per cent of my commissions, once @realty has been paid $20,000 per annum (ex GST) in service fees.
“That was something that was really attractive to me because I’m getting the full support of a marketing and office team but at the same time not paying the high costs associated with franchise offices,” she said.
“It works out as more in my pocket at the end of the day.”
Ms Grainger says the OASIS platform also provided an integrated work system covering client management, emails, settlements, trust accounting and more.
“Property management is another new and exciting service that we can now offer to our clients now and other exciting developments are coming soon.”
Ms Grainger began her career in 2004 as a trainee receptionist at an agency in Pakenham before moving onto senior roles as a sales agent, as well as general manager of a large project marketing group, and branch manager of a franchise group’s Berwick office.
She says her passion has always remained sales and that was where she has thrived, winning the RateMyAgent Tooradin Agent of the Year award 2022.
“My clients and I have become lifelong friends, they are like family to me and people who I sold to five or 10 years ago still contact me today,” she said.
“My business runs on referrals and word of mouth, so I don’t need to prospect like I used to.”
@realty CEO James Taylor said Ms Grainger’s passion and drive for real estate is infectious.
“When JJ (Taylor – managing director) and I met with Emily for the first time, we knew she would do wonders with our OASIS platform,” he said.
“She is a real community champion in Melbourne who thrives on the challenge of listing and selling just as we thrive on the challenge of providing all the support an agent needs to get the job done.”
