"The market is cyclical but in the long run it will always go up."
Jonathon Santic is an experienced Real Estate Sales Manager with a successful background operating his own Agency in Surfers Paradise. He's sold off the plan development stock for a long time, most recently with Peet.
Wanting to move back into residential sales, Jonathon has joined with REAL for Agents so he can have his backend taken care of and focus on growing his business in Kingscliff and the Gold Coast. He is looking forward to his new direction.
WILLIAMS MEDIA spoke to Jonathon about his time in the industry.
What is the one thing you have learnt over your years as an agent?
I have been an agent all over Australia and have seen that market fluctuate up and down. The market is cyclical but in the long run it will always go up.
If you are living in the home don’t sell, if you are an investor consider selling when the market is hot and buying when it has cooled down.
What do you love most about the REAL model?
I love the fact that you are totally in control of your own business, including the commission structure, but you still have all the support and IT service from a national network.
What are your interests outside of Real Estate?
I love sport, particularly soccer and any beach activity, like surfing.
What are your predictions about the 2021 market in your area?
As long as supply is low the market will keep rising. Nothing is indicating this will change at the moment.
What advice would you give to your vendors for the best outcome?
If you are happy about the price, don’t try and haggle for a few thousand more and risk losing the deal.
What are your vendors currently saying about the market?
They are a little worried that if they sell they won’t have anywhere to move into as there just aren’t many properties on the market for sale.
What are buyers currently saying about the market?
They realise the market is going up but don’t know how much to bid on the properties as most homes at the moment are being sold by Auction or Expression of Interest.
