Jared and Shallain Hodge embarked on the new journey with the aim of building a true family business that was not just about growth.
Jared said, “We’re not just about success. We have three of our children actively involved in the business. Rachael is in HR/Accounts, Cait works in Property Management and Investment Sales while Brent focuses on Residential Sales.
Jared and Shallain originally started a Ray White business in 2010 with Jared coming from many years in real estate both as an agent and business owner while Shallain had a financial planning background.
According to Jared, the business was the fasting growing Ray White franchise for the entire decade, opening an office every eight months on average through that timeline and transacting billions in sales volume.
Shallain now heads the Property Management department with Real Specialists with a focus on the department growth and taking that part of the business to the next level.
Early recruits, Brendan Gibb and Jodie Hergenhan have been heavily involved in both businesses for more than 10 years and could be considered part of the “family” having taken on key roles with Real Specialists.
“We are here for the long haul, we are not an external player trying to disrupt the industry, we are already industry leaders taking it in its next direction. We believe in creating a culture that supports and encourages all those involved from our employees through to our clients.
“Real Specialists has become a powerful, well-established business which was already the market leader in our local area.
“In a short while, we have gained agents in every state except the Northern Territory and are continuing to grow fast,” Jared said.
He added, “We have had excellent feedback from everyone who comes on board who is blown away by the level of support we provide including those coming out of a traditional franchise office to those coming from newer “non-traditional” models.
“Our number one thing is that we love helping good agents, allowing them to grow as a person and as a business, increasing their incomes and freeing up their time by delivering excellent support to them.”
