He's played for the West Coast Eagles and now Corey Adamson is continuing to kick goals, albeit in a very different profession as a real estate agent with Realmark.
After a successful sporting career with the West Coast Eagles, Corey Adamson decided it was time for a change. He swapped his footy boots for a suit and tie and joined the team at Realmark earlier this year.
And while the career change may have come as a shock to some, real estate has always been a passion for the young agent.
"It was the energy and enthusiasm of the Realmark team that attracted me. Realmark is always looking for new ways to aid the client experience and innovations that you would never even think of," he told WILLIAMS MEDIA.

You come from a sporting background, having played for the West Coast Eagles - what made you decide to pursue a career in real estate?
"I have always been interested in property and real estate - I started investing when I was 17, so it was an easy decision to make," Adamson said.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
"I really enjoy the Sports/locker room type feel. Everyone has great banter but when it comes to game day (Auction day) we are all full steam ahead," Adamson said.
Can you tell us about an interesting property you’ve sold?
"My first day on the job our team at Realmark Urban sold a great property, 25 Learoyd St, Mount Lawley. It was like stepping into a time capsule. The house was built in 1940 and the son of the original owner has lived there his entire life without updating it at all. So it was great to see the original features of the house. It was sold at auction with the entire team there which was a great experience." Adamson said.
What’s your advice to a young person starting out in real estate?
Join a great team, the team at Realmark Urban have such a strong team vibe that it fills you with energy.
"Something that Paul Tonich (the agent who sold the property above) said to me when I started was “don’t try and BE a real estate agent” - he wants me to remain an athlete in all aspects of the word other than the profession.
If you could change one thing about the real estate industry, what would it be?
"Pointer signs - let’s just get rid of them. The amount of time you spend making them and putting them out just for them to be ripped out of the ground and thrown in a bush infuriates me!" Adamson said.
What is your outlook for the WA market for the next 12-18 months?
"I think the market is getting stronger, I don’t see it booming but I don’t see it plummeting either," Adamson said.
Where do you live now, and what would be your dream home if you could live anywhere in the world?
"I currently live in Scarborough with my wife in our very first home. I have been all over the world and I would have to say that it is a dead tie between Swanbourne and Osaka Japan - very similar I know!" Adamson said.
