JLL Senior Project Manager recognised for her efforts to advance women in what is a traditionally male-dominated industry.
Diana Jones, a Senior Project Manager with JLL Australia, has won the Crystal Vision Award for advancing the interests of women at the annual NSW awards of the National Association of Women in Construction.
Jones actively promotes and encourages the participation and career progression of women in the construction industry, and has been with JLL’s Project and Development Services division for 11 years.
"Diana was a founding member of the Project and Development Services Diversity Committee in 2011. Since then, she has built up a track record of advocating for women within JLL," said JLL’s Australian Head of Project and Development Services, Kevin Hastings. "She has also been called upon to participate in diversity initiatives at the regional level, through strategies to cover JLL’s Asia Pacific offices."
Hastings said JLL continues to work and build a diverse workplace through initiatives such as mentoring, in which Jones has played a big role. The firm's Australian Projects division has increased the representation of women by 68 percent over the past five years.
